Have you ever felt like you’ve done everything right—you’ve shown up, you’ve prayed the prayer, and you’re "at the table"—but the "order" just isn't being delivered? Many of us are living in a state of spiritual frustration. We are sitting and expecting, yet we feel stuck in an "almost" life. We have salvation, but we aren't experiencing the peace, joy, or power we were promised. We’re standing on the porch of God’s house, wondering why it’s so cold outside when there’s a whole fire roaring just a few feet away inside. In this message, Pastor Scott breaks down the reality that Salvation is the door, but the Kingdom is the house. Jesus didn’t just come to give us a "get out of hell free" card; He came to establish a new operating system where God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven. The secret to unlocking the benefits of God is moving from being "obsessed with the door" to actually "experiencing the house." It requires one more step: shifting our pursuit from success and recognition to seeking the Kingdom of God first. This week, identify your "Porch Area." Where in your life are you standing at the door but refusing to go inside? Whether it’s joining a Life Group, serving, or finally bringing a specific struggle to the "laundry room" of God’s Word, take one more step toward the house this week.__Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ!Learn more about our church at https://www.freelifechapel.orgStay Connect on Socials!Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/freelifechapelFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/freelifechapel/Pastor Scott Thomas | Free Life Chapel | Lakeland, Florida

Do you ever feel like your life is "glitching"? You’ve accepted Christ, yet you still find yourself reacting with the same old anger, anxiety, or pride that defined you before you were saved. It’s the frustrating struggle of having a new heart but trying to run it on an outdated operating system. We want the peace of God, but we often try to achieve it using the world’s "me-first" logic, leading to a life that feels out of sync with our true purpose. The Kingdom solution isn't about working harder; it’s about a total system reset. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your Kingdom come... on earth as it is in heaven," which is a request for God to install His heavenly operating system right here in our daily lives. It’s a shift from a "democracy" where our opinion rules to a "Kingdom" where the King sets the tone, the culture, and the parameters. When we align with the Master Designer’s blueprint, we stop trying to heat pizza in a freezer and start functioning the way we were actually created to live.Applying this Word means moving from a private faith to a visible, public life of impact. By focusing on the fundamentals—loving God, loving people, and staying devoted—you’ll find a security in your identity that no job or social media status can provide. This week, let’s stop debating culture and start displaying Christ, allowing His light to shine through our good works so that the world can see how amazing our Father truly is.____Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ!Learn more about our church at https://www.freelifechapel.orgStay Connect on Socials!Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/freelifechapelFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/freelifechapel/Pastor Scott Thomas | Free Life Chapel | Lakeland, Florida

Do you ever feel like you’re working overtime to build a life that feels like it’s one storm away from collapsing? We often treat our lives like a DIY project, making decisions based on how we feel, what we see, or what culture tells us is "right." But building a life on the shifting sands of our own understanding often leads to structural damage we don’t see until the walls start to crumble. The pressure of trying to figure it all out on your own is a weight you weren't designed to carry. In this message, we dive into the reality that God is the Master Architect who has already drawn the blueprints for your success, protection, and peace. Using the physical structure of Free Life Chapel as an analogy, we explore how God’s "lines" and boundaries aren't there to limit your freedom—they are there to ensure your structural integrity. When we align ourselves with His design, we step into a covering that can withstand the heaviest loads and the fiercest trials. It’s time to stop living by impulse and start living by design. When you trade your "autonomy" for His sovereignty, you find a freedom that isn't dominated by habits, moods, or external pressures. This isn’t just about following rules; it’s about a generational setup that changes the trajectory of your family and your future. Let’s get back into alignment with the one who sees the finished picture even when we only see the mess. ___Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ!Learn more about our church at https://www.freelifechapel.orgStay Connect on Socials!Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/freelifechapelFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/freelifechapel/Pastor Scott Thomas | Free Life Chapel | Lakeland, Florida

On this Super Bowl Sunday, we aren’t just looking at the scoreboard—we’re looking at the statistical miracles playing out on the field. Whether it’s the Patriots flipping a 4-win season into a championship run or Sam Darnold going from a "draft bust" to a Super Bowl starter, we are witnessing the power of the turnaround. But let’s keep it real: the most important "wild card" story isn't happening in the NFL; it’s happening in your life. If you feel like your odds of winning are currently at .08%, you are exactly where you belong. In this message, Pastor Scott challenges the "middle of the pack" scouting report that the world has labeled you with. You might feel like you’re in a "checkmate" position, staring at a board where it looks like the enemy has already won. But just like a grandmaster chess player sees a move the untrained eye misses, God—the Grandmaster of your life—declares that the King still has one more move. He doesn't consult your past "stats" or your highlight reel of failures to determine your future.Apply this "Wild Card" mindset today and realize that you aren't just a spectator on the sidelines; you are in God’s starting lineup. Your best days are a preset comeback waiting to happen. Whether your situation is a self-inflicted fumble or you’ve been sidelined by things out of your control, the King is coming to restore your inheritance and put you back in the game. It’s time to stop looking at the odds and start looking at the One who is famous for surprises.___Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ!Learn more about our church at https://www.freelifechapel.orgStay Connect on Socials!Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/freelifechapelFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/freelifechapel/Pastor Scott Thomas | Free Life Chapel | Lakeland, Florida

The Struggle: Choosing Comfort Over Conviction Have you ever felt like you’re choosing social comfort over biblical conviction? We’ve all been there—justifying why we chose Netflix over our devotions or prioritizing a busy work schedule over Sunday worship. It’s easy to settle for a "contribution" to the Kingdom when Jesus is actually asking for a total, "all-in" commitment. The truth is, our hearts naturally gravitate toward compromise, leaving us living in a state of spiritual mediocrity that we try to cover up with alibis and excuses. The Solution: The Seat of Your Soul In this powerful message, Pastor Scott Thomas breaks down the "Three Chairs" that represent the state of our relationship with Jesus. Using the challenging words of Matthew 16:24–25, we discover that following Christ isn't about polishing a halo; it's about the uncomfortable but necessary act of denying ourselves and picking up a cross. By identifying which "chair" our marriage, finances, and thoughts are currently sitting in, we can move from being a fan in the stands to a player on the team. This week, perform a "Chair Audit" of your life. Pick one specific area—your finances, your morning routine, or a difficult relationship—and identify if it is sitting in the chair of compromise or commitment. Take one tangible action to "move the chair" toward God by choosing biblical conviction over social comfort.___Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ! In 2026, it’s time to stop guessing and start declaring. In this installment of the "We The Church" series, Pastor Scott Thomas explores the Law of Firsts—the overarching spiritual principle that what you do with the first determines what happens to the rest .Building your life on "self" is a foundation destined to collapse, but building on the Creator creates an unstoppable structure packed with power . Just as the U.S. Declaration of Independence was built on God as the source code, your life requires a "first fruit" principle to keep you from drifting in a world of half-truths.Stewardship vs. Ownership: True stewardship isn't about what you give; it's about what you bring . Since God is the Source and we are merely managers of His resource, we don't give to Him—we return to Him what He has already provided .The Operating System of Faith: Pastor Scott compares our lives to a cell phone's operating system. While we often think our "apps" (marriage, business, finances) are the problem, it’s actually an outdated operating system . By updating your spiritual operating system through the Law of Firsts, you ensure every area of your life functions at its full potential.Executing the Principle in Three Areas:Time: Giving God the first 15 minutes of your day to ensure peace for the next 15 hours.Talent: Using your unique "superpower"—whether dancing, singing, or serving—for the interest of God's Kingdom .Treasure: Prioritizing God with the first part of your income before your Netflix or Hulu subscriptions .The First Fruit Promise: When you honor God with the first, you unlock a Benefit Package:Divine Direction: God becomes your GPS, leading you out of the "cul-de-sac" of dead ends.Angelic Guard: Bringing the first fruit dispatches an angel ahead of you to guard your way .Protection: God promises to be an enemy to your enemies and stop the "hidden leaks" in your life .Household Blessing: Honoring the first portion causes a blessing to rest on your entire house .Don't be a slave to the culture; be a citizen of the Kingdom. Test God's faithfulness this month and watch Him deliver what you’ve "pre-ordered" for your future .___Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ! It’s one thing to claim Jesus, but it’s an entirely different thing to follow His pace. In part two of the "We The Church" series, Pastor Caleb Thomas explores how we often believe in Jesus while structuring our lives in a way that actually pulls us away from Him. True discipleship isn't just about believing the right things; it's a lifestyle invitation to "Follow Me" .The Mary and Martha Tension: Looking at the story in Luke 10, we see the danger of becoming "distracted by doing". Martha was busy serving, while Mary chose the "good portion" by sitting at Jesus’ feet. Jesus reminds us that our primary reward isn't the work we do for Him, but the relationship we have with Him . We must be careful not to treat spiritual disciplines as chores, but as a means to get closer to the person of Jesus .The Danger of the Hurry: We rarely drift from God through active rebellion; we drift because life gets loud and fast . Corrie ten Boom famously said, "If the enemy cannot get you to sin, he's going to get you busy". Jesus was never in a hurry; His life was characterized by a purposeful state of control and ease that allowed Him to notice the needs of those around Him.Two Word Pictures for Spiritual Growth:The Trellis: Just as a trellis supports a vine so it can grow off the ground and produce healthy fruit, we need a "spiritual trellis"—habits and schedules—to keep our lives from collapsing and to support the growth Jesus wants to bring .The Yoke: Jesus invites us to "Take my yoke upon you" (Matthew 11:29). In biblical times, a mature ox was yoked to a younger one to teach it the right pace and direction . Jesus isn't asking you to "try harder" through self-help; He’s asking you to yoke up with Him and learn His rhythm for your life.Your Next Step: Jesus isn't asking for a total overhaul today; He’s inviting you to slow down. This year, move beyond just claiming His name and start living His lifestyle—a life that is purposeful, not hurried.___Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ! In this special sit-down conversation, Pastor Scott Thomas and Pastor Caleb Thomas unpack the powerful biblical principle of First Fruits. Far from being a mere tradition or a man-made rule, First Fruits is one of the "Lord's Feasts"—a seasonal principle designed to honor God at the beginning of the year and initiate a promise of provision for the months ahead .Understanding the Principle:The Meaning: In Hebrew, First Fruits literally means "a promise to come". It is an act of celebrating and honoring God’s "resume" before He acts on your behalf for the year .Agricultural Roots: Just as the first buds in a garden signal a larger harvest to follow, the First Fruit is the "best part" set aside to state total dependency on God as the supplier.First Fruit vs. Tithing: * First Fruit is seasonal (once a year), the "best part," and given before the harvest in anticipation .Tithing is ongoing (every paycheck), a set 10%, and given after the harvest in response to what God has provided.A Day of Impossible Odds: Pastor Scott highlights that major biblical breakthroughs occurred on the exact same calendar day (Nisan 17), including Noah’s Ark coming to rest, the Israelites crossing the Red Sea, and the Resurrection of Jesus . The mathematical odds of these events happening on the same day are 1 in 587 quadrillion, proving these moments are by "intelligent design" to show that God reverses curses and makes a way where there is none .The Challenge for 2026: Free Life Chapel invites families to participate by bringing a "First Fruit" offering—suggested as one week's salary (1/52nd of the year) or a sacrifice determined by your heart . This is not "buying a miracle," but presenting your heart and trusting God's fidelity over your life. The first fruit offerings will be celebrated during the last two Sundays of January, where the church will pray over every household and declare God’s blessing for the rest of the year .__Free Life Chapel is here to help others discover and live the Free Life in Christ!
